Ansan Starlight Village’s Light Festival

garden-of-light-2A day before we left Seoul, we decided to have a quick side trip to Ansan Star Village which is located in Gyeonggi-do Province. It is an hour and a half subway ride from the city and best visited when night falls. This attraction features many of Van Gogh’s masterpieces which you can marvel at during the day as well as plenty of photo zones for your selfies and family pictures.

At night, thousands of LEDs light up the whole theme park and transforms it into a different world which will leave you amazed.

It was a little after 7PM when we arrived, and the sun has just begun to set. From the entrance, we could already see the various illuminations and we felt more excited to go inside. We were greeted by a tunnel of seemingly falling stars which triggered us to immediately strike a pose.

From there, the path leads you to various magical realms. Let us walk you through Ansan Star Village.

Immediately after the entrance is the Garden of Light where lighted trees and structures are everywhere.

Next to it is a Van Gogh Inspired Photo Zone

Kids (and kids at heart) will surely love to have their photos taken at the Kid’s Photo Zone.

One will be enchanted and will never be lost in the Forest of Light.

The Love and Wedding Photo Zone made us want to get married again.

If you are going with your significant other, consider proposing inside one of their four wonderfully lighted tunnels:

The White Road (my personal favorite)

It took us an hour and a half to roam around the place. We had a lot of fun posing for photos, and our daughter looked like she enjoyed it too. There is also a mirror maze beside it but we opted not to go inside. Overall, I must say that this was a nice way to cap off our South Korea trip.
