Educational, Engaging and Easy to Learn Songs for Toddlers

You all know about our little K’s love for music, right? If you just started following my blog, you can read the story here. From 0 months, we started playing songs from the Fisher-Price Collection via their android app until I think she was 7 or 8 months. The collection is composed of basic, learning songs such as: ABC’s, 123’s, Colors and Shapes song and a few nursery rhymes. The songs were great but soon, she grew tired of listening to them, we knew we needed to refresh our repertoire. Insert Super Simple Songs.

Truthfully, little K was the one who discovered Simple Learning Songs thru Youtube. I’m still amazed at how she managed to stumble upon this channel but really, if you watch their collection of videos, who wouldn’t be attracted with those cute characters and not to mention, that catchy beat? We started with Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star as little K was so amused with the owl and the star (which are their main mascots, by the way) then browsed their entire collection of videos for more.

Awww..aren’t they adorable?

As the name suggests, Super Simple Songs features a collection of children songs which are basic yet educational, engaging and easy to follow. Heck, I even got the LSS (Last Song Syndrome) when I heard their songs! The founders are a group of teachers who started making their own version of classic children songs as well as composing equally great ones. I just have to mention their creative version of Mary had a Little Lamb. Who knew Mary also has a giraffe, rhinoceros and a kangaroo? Funny! What I love most about their songs is the beat. Not too fast, not too slow, catchy, addictive and perfect for children to hum along and dance to. The words of the songs are simple, easy for a young brain to process. At 1.8 years old, little K was able to identify 6 colors, and make various animal sounds–all thanks to Super Simple Songs!

But wait there’s more…

Super Simple Songs is not just a Youtube channel, they also have their own website which you can find here. They have a large collection of resources that you can download for free. Most of which are best partnered with a song from their playlist. Their wide array of songs including lullabies and nursery rhymes are all available for purchase.

Now, excuse me while I do my daily chores and sing:

“Clean up, clean up, everybody let’s clean up! Clean up, clean up, put your things away!” (can’t get this song out of my head!)
